Making space for women to heal and grow.
For women affected by addiction, transforming a life from struggle to health isn’t simple.
Finding a safe space to live, work, and build life skills involves time and resources that many newly-sober Ohio women don’t have. With one of the highest nationwide rates of opioid-related deaths, our state is in the center of a crisis. It’s time to find new ways to help.
“It took me 14 months to find housing while I was in treatment - and then it wasn’t even on a bus line. If more options are available for women in treatment, they’ll be able to get more help.”
— Ms. J, Cincinnati OH
“There was no plan for safer housing to get into after I completed a 90 day treatment program, which sent me back to where I came from [living with a family member in active addiction]. Three others graduated the program with me; two of them are already dead and the third has relapsed. It’s getting to a point where it’s affecting everyone I know.”
- Mr. R, Clermont County OH
