Our volunteers inspire change - and change lives!

My Sister’s Garden welcomes volunteers from the community to share their unique talents and abilities and participate in our important work. We will create a position for you! Most volunteers are asked to participate in a virtual committee meeting monthly. These meetings take about an hour. Your time is your most valuable commodity. And while you can contribute as much time as you wish, an expected monthly time donation is listed with each job description.

Volunteer Spotlight

  • Kirk

Kirk’s contributions advanced our mission and vision in 2020 and 2021. Kirk helped put together a successful grant application, reviewed the scientific and medical literature on outcomes for sober living homes, and helped develop an online survey for staff in recovery residences to learn more about the effectiveness of staff training.

  • Corie

Corie is our resident expert on making scented and natural goat milk soap, a key part of our agricultural programming. Her recommendations have improved the safety and efficiency of the soap making process. Corie’s background experience living on a farm and preparing products for farmers markets is valuable for our vocational training program.

  • Beth

Beth is pictured at a Farmer’s Marker in August 2021, raising funds for My Sister’s Garden. We appreciate Beth for her sincerity and the love she shows to the CHANGE court women and graduates, who also form much of the target demographic for My Sister’s Garden. She goes out of her way to sustain contact with care packages and good wishes. Most recently she delivered boxes of food for Thanksgiving to all CC alumnae.

  • Aaron

Aaron has over 10 years’ experience in gardening and animal husbandry with a focus on regenerative practices. As an owner and operator of two farms, Aaron’s experiences with niche market projects give multiple opportunities for developing team-building and fundraising activities for My Sister’s Garden.
